Betty Castor stepped down as Patel Center’s Executive Director on June 30, 2009

USF hosted a special farewell reception for Betty Castor on June 8th attended by university officials and Patel Center supporters from the Tampa Bay community, including Mayor Iorio where the Betty Castor Scholarship for International Initiatives was announced. Established in June 2009, the scholarship is meant to honor Betty’s impact on USF and the broader community as the University’s first female president, past Executive Director of the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Center for Global Solutions and a strong international role model.  Below are links for additional information on Betty’s contributions to the Patel Center and her future plans.
